The team manages to win which is what I love about them.  Crawford has been playing very well despite all the haters.  Crazy to think that at this point I have the same feeling back in 10"....hopefully I'm right.  So it looks like Habs play the Bruins in their conference final and fate will decide who the Hawks play on Sunday either Kings or Ducks.  Hopefully we end up with home ice advantage.  And as always GO HAWKS!!!!!

The Third Annual Have a Skate with Bob and Rockford Icehogs.......as the saying goes F@#K CANCER!

Hey there readers......just so you are aware November is pancreatic awareness month! I'm sure one of us knows someone or even has someone in their family that has been taken by this .  Here's something interesting according to mayoclinic.com...... Pancreatic cancer typically spreads rapidly and is seldom detected in its early stages, which is a major reason why it's a leading cause of cancer death. Signs and symptoms may not appear until pancreatic cancer is quite advanced and surgical removal isn't possible.

I have a fellow friend that has started a great hockey charity event in regards to help raise money for research for pancreatic cancer called Have a Skate with Bob Foundation

The foundation first came about in 07' when Bob's daughter Rachel suggested having a hockey game in honor of her late mother, Becky, that had passed away from pancreatic cancer.  Two years ago, they partnered up with AHL Rockford IceHogs to hold Have A Skate With Bob and the Rockford IceHogs, in honor of their late friend Tom Jacobson and Becky Klem....raising over $15,000 for pancreatic cancer research.  It has grown since then with the help of Bob Klem, Chris Zion, Jack Goldberg, and Ron Kelly

Here is the info for game this year!

Also there will be a silent auction table with HASB T-shirts and other memorabilia....here are a few items that will be there.

Overall
In the past 8 games, the Hawks are 5-3-0.  Nice to see the Hawks win after Colorado ended their winning streak. Not sure how they lost against Oilers but then again their schedule has be pretty crazy since it's a shorten season.  The last game they played vs. Ducks was a game that everyone was looking forward to but the Hawks couldn't hold onto it in the 3rd. Hopefully this long rest of four days off have helped them recuperate.  Tomorrow, Tues, and Friday are the UC.  I will be at 2 out of the 3 games....WOOT WOOT!  Friday will be their re-match against the Ducks so hopefully they will be able to put a W on the board.  As always....GO HAWKS!
