Hello Hawks fans!!! Hope everyone had a nice holiday. The Chicago Blackhawks are 2nd in their division, 7th in their conference but are tied with the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks with points but they have played one less game. They are 20-14-3 with 43 points. In the last 10 games they are 6-3-1. Overall their power play is 25% which is ranked 1st in the league which is great but their penalty kill is 78.3% which ranks 26th in the league which is pretty bad. In the last 6 games (12/13-12/26), the Hawks are 4-2 and are on a 4 game winning streak.

Penalty Kill-allowed 4G in 12 times being short-handed gives you an overall percentage 67% ……Brutal…..but good thing is you guys haven’t been in the box too much.

Power Play- gotten 6G in 19 times having a man or 2-man advantage. It gives you an overall percentage 32%.....OH YEAH!!!

Offense-4 or more goals have been scored in the past 6 games with only one game scoring 3 goals….pretty good!

Defense-About time you guys showed up for more than one game in a row….allowing 2 or less goals not including the first two games (12/13 and 12/15)

Goaltending-This has never been a problem. Nice to see Turco win a game with a great defense in front of him….took you guys long enough…..first time Turco has won since November 17th.

Overall, the Hawks did pretty good besides the 1st two games vs the Avs. It's about time the defense showed up on a more consistent basis. See what happens…..you get on a winning streak….and then you can see that Turco is a good goalie. I would have given him the belt cause it’s much deserved. Hossa…yes you are the smoke monster….glad ur back. I will miss tomorrow’s game well techniquelly today….but I will be at Thursday's game vs. Sharks…..CAN’T WAIT…..Christmas gift from my bro. LUV IT!!! As always….GO HAWKS!!
